Sinus problems & waiting

Dear friends,

I have sinus problems so severe that I am limited to about 6 useful hours per day — a marked decline from my usual 16 to 18. The slow-down is enjoyed by friends and family, but I need to get well, and I need relief from the discomfort. Please pray for me to improve, or I may have to take a coat hangar to my sinuses soon!

Also, I am awaiting word on something quite important. Please pray for positive word quickly.

Thanks as always.

New formatting toolbar for comment posts

There is now a formatting toolbar above the comment box for quickly and easily adding bold, italic, quote and other tags in comments.

Will probably add some more buttons down the road. Suggestions welcome.

Turned out to be way, way easier than expected to add this feature. Enjoy! (Note, we’d post instructions but it’s probably easier to figure out by playing with it than by reading instructions)

Questions for the NEXT survey

This is a thread for posting question suggestions for our next survey… that weren’t asked on the current one. We’ll do one about mid 2010 that consists entirely of questions submitted by SI readers. (We’ll take them from non-members via the contact form)

Twitter... somebody teach me

I’ve mostly figured out Drupal yet Twitter still mystifies me… not complicated enough? :D (Being a dispensationalist, I like complexity)

Anyway, can someone who understands Twitter well explain to me what the #this and @that are all about? For example, right now if I go to Twitter.com the home page has some links to things like “Thanksgiving” “new moon” and “#blackfriday”

So why does blackfriday have a “#” ? What exactly makes some “topics” have “#” and some not?

adoption

I’ve mostly been posting daily adoption progress on FB, but I did want to let you all know that we have turned in all our paperwork and the home visit is tomorrow. It’s sort of a formality as it’s not actually where we live, just where Vitaliy is legally registered as living (an apartment of a church family), but we’d appreciate your prayers that all continue to go quickly.

Flu

Had a wonderful Sunday at MPBC! Praise the Lord. After Sunday School, Morning Worship, Lunch, Choir Practice, Evening Service, and a Pizza Fellowship at the parsonage, I have now settled in to enjoy a case of the flu. Very sudden onset! Fever, chills, and muscle aches.

Please be praying for me. Much to do.
