In April of 2020, as COVID-19 was disrupting all our lives in ways most of us had never experienced before, I wrote about my personal need to revisit my theology of suffering. It’s interesting to look back on the set of uncertainties that was on my mind at the time.

In the halftime show at the Faith Christmas Classic basketball tournament on December 11, the FBBC announcer interviewed Mr. Mark Davis, Vice-President of Enrollment and Student Life at Faith Baptist Bible College. The announcer asked Mr. Davis to tell the audience about the remarkable growth Faith has experienced recently, and to talk about the institution’s future, should he desire.

Norma Whitcomb loved to view her life as the work of “the Master Artist.”1
Art was very important to her. She studied, taught and practiced it, but—more than that—it really defined her life. And she certainly had many colorful experiences!
Norma grew up during the Great Depression and World War II. She married two veterans of that war, providing each with a loving home and serving alongside each of them in two very different ministries.
