Andy Stanley: “You Only Have to Believe Two Miracles to Be a Christian”

“Andy Stanley is in the headlines once again…. He began a new series with the question, ‘Do you have to believe in miracles to be a Christian?’ His answer? Yes, but only two foundational miracles—’the miracle of the universe’ and ‘the miracle of the resurrection.’” - AiG

Seems to me it is someone who believes. I don't think you have to know about all the various miracles that Jesus performed in order to be saved, or to know about, say, the virgin birth. I don't see how you could be a believer and reject those miracles, though. God designed those miracles to authenticate the deity of Christ, and if you reject the miracles, you are basically rejecting his deity and, by definition, not a believer.

AndyE,

I agree. And if you can't truly believe those miracles, how can you believe the greatest miracle, the resurrection of Christ. The miracles are the physical representation of a deeper situation and truth that is taking place.
