FBFI: It is my view that there are still some aspects of the issue about which the FBFI needs to clarify its position. I would suggest that there are at least two.

Some questions have arisen as a result of Mark Ward’s presentation at our Annual Fellowship regarding the King James Version. I would just like to clarify a few things on this topic …

What an outstanding meeting! We heartily commend Dr. Mike Harding and First Baptist Church of Troy for their excellence and graciousness in hosting us for the meeting. The speakers all did an outstanding job. The music was incredible. The whole meeting a blessing.

“Separation is not always the answer. I know that statement seems contradictory to the fundamentalist ideal, but it is really not. Remaining in fellowship with people with whom we disagree and knowing how to engage in a good controversial debate has been essential to our faith and will be in the future.

Proclaim & Defend: The concern is not with the idea of being fundamentalists. That identity is the core of who we are. We are not even shy about using the name or term. We wear it proudly. But in an age when the term is so misconstrued, we want to give ourselves the opportunity to define it.
