We are leaving the EU but not Europe, church leaders insist

“The UK is due to leave the European Union today, three-and-a-half years after the EU Referendum.
As iron sharpens iron,
one person sharpens another. (Proverbs 27:17)

“The [Founder’s Ministries film, ‘By What Standard?’] begins with the vote on a controversial resolution at the 2019 annual meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). Resolution 9 passed, so the SBC adopted CRT/I as ‘analytical tools [that] can aid in evaluating a variety of human experiences.’” - WORLD

In many ways, the modern abortion movement in the United States has historical continuity within American culture. The same culture that promoted chattel slavery is still thriving, only now it is trafficking in the murder of the unborn. It really is astonishing how similar the pro-slavery argument is with the pro-abortion argument.
Consider that United States was ironically founded with an affirmation that liberty and human freedom come from God:
“Yesterday Virginia’s senate narrowly repealed laws regulating abortion in the state. While only affecting Virginia, their action has nation-wide implications because it exposes the lie at the heart of the pro-choice movement—namely that being pro-choice is about being pro-woman.” - Jesse Johnson
“Politics and theology both exist on broad continuums. By virtue of Mark Galli’s editorial and CT president Tim Dalrymple’s follow-up, we’ve situated ourselves on these continuums in a kind of extreme middle—in censorial critique of the president and yet open to conversation as well as critique.” - Daniel Harrell
“I began part one of ‘Why Are So Many Young People Unhappy?’ with data showing the apparently unprecedentedly high rate of unhappiness among young people in America…. I do believe that a loss of values and meaning are the two greatest sources of unhappiness.” - Dennis Prager
“Back in 1994, I published Postmodern Times: A Christian Guide to Contemporary Thought and Culture…. I thought of updating it, but too much has happened over the last quarter-century. So Post-Christian is a sequel to that earlier book, similarly designed to help Christians navigate the issues and mindsets and world-views of our day.” - Cranach
“Since the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion in the United States, Christianity Today has featured many articles arguing for the sanctity of human life and examining how Christians can respond. Here’s a selection of some of our key articles on this topic over the decades.”
“The document has the unwieldy title, ‘Guidance on Constitutionally Protected Prayer and Religious Expression in Public Elementary and Secondary Schools.’ However, it contains pithy truths and robust protections for people of every faith in the nation’s 132,853 K-12 public schools.” - Acton
“Hospice is not about making people dead. Rather, it seeks to help terminally ill patients live well through intensive medical, spiritual, psychological, and social treatments to alleviate the pain and emotional suffering ….Don’t tell that to the provincial government of British Columbia.” - National Review
