Sovereign Grace Ministries has announced that they’re releasing a new CD on August 5. It’s called Sons and Daughters and the songs focus on the theme of God’s love for us as a father. I listened to the preview clips and as usual am impressed with the theological depth of the lyrics. I’m looking for good bible study resources for a guy’s bible study for college students.

Any recommendations?

I’m looking for practical, helpful projects that the ladies in our church can do together to help missionaries on the field or on deputation/furlough.

We pray and write to our missionaries as individuals. But we need something more, a project we can work on as a group of ladies, maybe involving the children.

The lastest Fundamentalist periodical to criticize the BJU Press book “The Christian and Drinking” by Randy Jaeggli is “The Biblical Evangelist” published by Evangelist Robert Sumner. Here are some quotes from his review of the book:

“No way around it; this is a book advocating social drinking — you know, ‘in moderation.’ … In his Conclusion, Jaeggli sounds like Billy Sunday or the local arm of the WCTU (Women’s Christian Temperance Union), but we doubt that after 70 pages of ‘okay on the sauce’ it will do much good.”

In his “Off the Cuff” column, Sumner continues:

Last night at church we were talking about rewards in Heaven, and I had a flashback to my early college days. There was a men’s quartet that did a song…I think this was the title, and some of the words I think were:

We’ll cast our crowns at His nail scarred feet,

Our joy complete in His presence sweet.

Eternity’s greatest privilege will be

Casting our crowns at His feet.

Anybody know the rest, or even have a source for the music?

My pastor wants to develop a library for pastors in the Philippines. He wants me to research what is available in electronic form. We are of course talking about freeware not paid for programs. He is looking to put the library on one or more cds\dvds. So, internet only stuff is not in the scope of this request.

Off the top of my head, I know of On-line Bible. What else is out there?
