Grace College professor ousted after online commentators flag ‘woke’ social media posts

I wonder how many teachers like this are at other theologically conservative schools such as BJU, PCC?

That teachers hold different views than the school? It probably happens all the time. They were that way in the past when I went to school. I know for a fact at BJU that not all faculty agreed with the interracial dating stance in the 1980's/1990's. I don't know about today, but I would assume that out of 300 faculty they would not all 100% agree on all aspects around gender, sexuality.. The key is whether they sign their agreement with the stance of the university, and they teach that stance.

The key is whether teachers & staff who disagree with a school's official positions subtly undermine those positions in the classroom and elsewhere.

Looking through the articles, my thought is that Warner was at least on the edge of what Grace could accept going forward. Haven't they ever heard of doing a social media search on prospective job candidates? If you're a conservative place like Grace, maybe...take a pass on a candidate who seems to like to call conservatives "fascists"? Maybe ask him about endorsing same sex mirage?

Warner also says he has no problem with Grace's (transitively Charis') beliefs, but he's at a church with a female pastor, while Grace/Charis reject that. Again, this is something where you've got to ask "exactly what is going on with your hiring process?"

Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.
