Exactly how does one do that?

If you have Amazon bookmarked on your toolbar, delete the icon and then re-create it using the same link - any time you click on it and buy something from Amazon, you’ll help support the site.

It may be that you have an adblocker enabled that isn’t displaying the Amazon search box? It should appear right below the text you quoted. You can key item keywords into the search box and this also does the job. Maybe disable ad blocker for SI?
