In Part 1, I argued that the term separation should be used only for situations involving sin or false teaching. This means that “departing” without censure is sufficiently dissimilar from separation that it should be considered as a different category.

The president of Maranatha Baptist Bible College has resigned after seven years, citing personal reasons. Dr. Dave Jaspers became the president in January 1999. The Board of Trustees has appointed Dr. Larry Oats, long-standing faculty member and administrator, as interim president.

As reported in our forums, Dr. Jim Schettler has resigned as pastor of the Campus Church at Pensacola Christian College.
