“How are pastors, especially those who work with children and teenagers, supposed to minister in such a pivotal moment in American history? We must first accept a hard truth: We cannot continue to do children’s and youth ministry as we’ve done them and expect different results from today.” - TGC

NewWhat if youth ministry has…

Mon, 03/02/26

What if youth ministry has been more of a detriment than an asset to the church? What if we have conditioned youth to think that once they are too old for the youth program then they are also too old for church? What if instead we integrated the youth with the older people in the church right away and let the older teach the younger? (I read about that in the Bible). What if we actually let the youth ask hard questions and helped them search for the answers instead of just giving them fun activities with a few light lessons? What if we let little kids listen in as adults discussed deep theological truths instead of sending them to another room to color pictures?
