I have been arguing for years that the modern “worship” fad (and it is a fad in one sense) completely ignores the “one another” aspect of music. It also ignores that things like prayer, preaching, testimonies, etc., are acts of worship and hogs the term for music. That’s why the term “musical worship” is more appropriate. The Biblical term that the NT epistles use to describe what we do in church as “edification.” We need to get back to that.
