The fact that this congregation is a member of the CBF definitely places it way over to the left side in SBC life. It is interesting - and surprising - that the chair of their executive committee would belong to such a church. By the way, the CBF is not just mildly left-leaning. For example, two lesbians from our own community married several years ago. They now co-pastor a CBF congregation in Washington, D.C.
