Coming not quite so soon

Some weeks ago I announced that a site update was coming probably by “mid July.” Well, due to various factors it looks now like late August. In the mean time, enjoy a few improvements here and there to the current site.

This morning, rolled out a few changes to the comment toolbar. (Several of the toolbar buttons do not function if you have javascript disabled).

The 2009-2010 SI Reader Survey ended a few months ago. Much of the data confirmed what we already pretty much knew. But there are some surprises, too. What follows includes a sampling of both the expected and the surprising.
