#1 – Would I attend this church if I were not on staff? If the answer is “no” then you should resign…immediately.
I came to the church I pastor 12 years ago. If the church had not called me and I just moved into the area, I would not have attended it. It was in a state of decline and disorder. I came for what God might do with the church, but definitely not for what the church was at the time.
