Pew: A growing share of Americans are familiar with ‘cancel culture’

If I were a betting man, I’d wager that ‘awareness’ has increased at roughly the same rate as in the increase in ‘confusion about what the term means.’ Maybe the trend is more like “as awareness increases, broadening of the term toward meaninglessness increases.”
Based on how I see/hear it used, I’d say it already mostly means “actions we don’t approve of, by the people who are not us…boooo! hissss!”
