….by the Rev. Jesse Jackson, albeit before his “conversion” to being pro-choice/pro-abortion when he wanted to get votes as a Democrat nationwide. That said, having seen him on TV and in the papers since I was a child—I grew up an hour from the Loop, so I heard about him and PUSH/Rainbow Coalition a lot—I’ve got to guess he never was really pro-life. Certainly I don’t remember him taking a stand against Chicago’s numerous abortion clinics. It is as if his constituents wanted to hear the rhetoric out of his mouth, but were OK if he never did anything about it.
Sounds like a lot of politicians, really, doesn’t it?
