Christianity is not a politician’s prop. Mean it when you say it, or don’t say it.

Why is anyone surprised by Trump’s increasing extremes? His lack of decent character was abundantly clear by 2016. His lack of ability to think coherently was evident by 2021. Some are just now doing the math I guess. (Or just trying to exploit it somehow.)

....of people asking politicians to show character in how they do, or do not, invoke their/my religion, this song comes to mind. And as Aaron hints, if we want better, we've got to vote better.

It’s OK, because he was “making a point” (Trump reacts to criticism of Easter post about Iran, says he used profanity to make a point). Also threatening to completely wipe out a civilization is OK because all Presidents use “salty language” (thus saith pastor Jeffress).
The double standards on the right are so extreme and transparent these days.
