Majority of Americans support more nuclear power in the country

Well, as you saw me describe up above, I’m willing to share all my opinions on having installed solar, warts and all. The main reason I posted at all was to answer the original post about governments mandating solar, and why I didn’t agree with that idea.

I certainly agree that governments shouldn’t be looking at even modest success stories like mine and generalizing that. And they certainly wouldn’t want the real ROI numbers to get out. Long term can pay off sometimes, but for most people spending that kind of money, they would want to see a much shorter payoff.

From my view, mandating solar would just be a way for people to say they are doing something about more clean power generation without really doing anything at all, and pushing all the costs of it directly on consumers, most of whom they know would never sign up for it willingly.
