Their British accents were not “19th-century Victorian.”
The word-for-word direct quotations (particularly in red-letter editions) of the 1611 King James Version clearly prove that their British accents were early 17th-century Elizabethan, I will have everyone here know………………
Now Larry, you know that the only real Bible was written during the reign of King James, NOT during Queen Elizabeth’s reign, hence the accents would be Jacobian, not Elizabethan. Duh. Anyone with half a brain knows the difference, which is exactly why I can’t explain it to you. :^)
And to steal DLCreed’s fire (sorry, brother), this is half a year old. :^)
