I had never heard of it. The internet can be a frightening place sometimes.
I had a short discussion with a lady who was defending QAnon that showed up on my Facebook news feed. Here’s what she said:
Whomever wrote this knows nothing about WWG1WGA! That is okay because we all have free will and free choice. The great awakening is happening with or without Mainstream Media.
I am doing my best to stay humble and be kind. Not everyone is fortunate to be awake right now, those who aren’t awake will need guidance because their entire belief system is about to flip upside down. Soon, everyone will wake up and see the Light! Peace.
I responded by saying:
“Mary, I don’t know you, and I’m sure that you’re humble and kind, but it looks as if you’ve naively bought into a new religion that is held together by a string of conspiracy theories. Listen to your words! Great Awakening? Seeing the Light? It seems like a new form of Gnosticism that the apostles warn against in the New Testament. Incidentally, my “entire belief system” is rooted in the redemptive history of the Scriptures and centered around Jesus Christ, not in the mainstream media or far-out conspiracies so I doubt I’ll need guidance from “the awakened few” of QAnon.”
And then she replied,
“You have free will. God is good, all the time. All the time, God is good. Peace.”
Beware of those who push the concept of “free will.” Although a true concept, if understood Biblically, it usually communicates a perspective that is contrary to Scripture. You will have a hard time even finding the term “free will” in the Bible. (Ok. There is the free will offering of the OT in the KJV) But we commonly hear a lot of false teaching trumpeted upon the premise of human free will, supposedly unfettered by anything, not even by sin.
