A Republican governor just signed another radical abortion bill, in Vermont
“According to Vermont Right to Life, Gov. Scott used to support some restrictions on abortion. However, after signing H. 57 yesterday, the governor has clearly changed his mind and fallen to the far Left on this issue.” - W. Examiner

I’ve often heard the cynical observation that GOP isn’t any better than the Democratic party on abortion. I would encourage them to hit the tag-link here on abortion and scan what Republican governors and legislatures have done over the last year on abortion.
That said, 3 observations…
- The party that nominated Trump is not my party (like many conservatives I don’t have one anymore)
- The GOP does sometimes back anti-life policy
- Conservatives never do
Views expressed are always my own and not my employer's, my church's, my family's, my neighbors', or my pets'. The house plants have authorized me to speak for them, however, and they always agree with me.
The pro-abortion left is obviously trying to put laws in place in the case that Roe is overturned, but it strikes me that whether or not Roe is ever overturned, even a huge portion of pro-choice or even pro-abortion people get uneasy with certain protections for abortion, especially when clinics appear to be exempted from basic health and safety standards, and especially when pro-life people are forced to pay for abortions. This could backfire hugely on pro-choice arguments, to put it mildly.
Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.
