“ ‘Pastor, pastor—I just met my surgeon, and guess what? He is a CHRISTIAN!’ I must bite my tongue in the moment, but I’m thinking to myself, ‘But is he a good surgeon?’” - P&D
As iron sharpens iron,
one person sharpens another. (Proverbs 27:17)
“ ‘Pastor, pastor—I just met my surgeon, and guess what? He is a CHRISTIAN!’ I must bite my tongue in the moment, but I’m thinking to myself, ‘But is he a good surgeon?’” - P&D
“When we are confronted with claims, political sensations, public scandals, and whatnot in some post or other, be sure to start with the question: Is this true? — Remember, ‘Prove all things.’” - Don Johnson
It is not for kings, O Lemuel,
It is not for kings to drink wine,

I’ve noticed with increasing frequency that not only are more pastors and even Christians in general drinking more openly, there seems to be a growing number that are using social media to promote their newfound freedom, with some even encouraging others to join in.
“We live in a culture where we are relatively isolated, and it’s easy to create an online bubble around me of people who think like me. It’s not easy to intentionally move out of that bubble and to listen to viewpoints you disagree with. But I think now more than ever we need to do that.” - P&D
“Scripture explains that knowing is a lot more than possessing facts. More specifically, the book of Proverbs describes wisdom as something that comes only from rigour: the rigour of study, of obedience, and of experience. Wisdom is a gift given by God.” - David de Bruyn
“Ministry is not a free-for-all, left up to whims of church leaders or members. Instead, God designed ministry to operate a certain way so the ministry and the message compliment rather than contradict one another.” - Cripplegate

Fundamentalism with a Capital “F”: Being Mean and Leaving the Gospel Out at the Same Time.… 4. In a Hurry: How I Messed Up My Church by Pushing Change Too Quickly.” - Chuck Lawless
“The human impulse to rush to judgment has always existed, but now it is common to believe whatever we hear and then post outrage using social media. But what if in our use of social media we applied the concepts of innocent until proven guilty, and from the mouth of Jesus, ‘Do to others as you would have them do to you’?” - Randy Alcorn
“a corporation that builds computers might not be strong at strategic planning…. So, they find consultants with experience and success in those areas to give them advice, training, and expertise. Could the concept benefit churches, ministries, and other religious and non-profit organizations?” - Phil Cooke
