“While family-oriented goals may climb higher on the list of priorities as these respondents move further into adulthood, nearly four in 10 young adults also aim to follow their dreams (38%) and about one in three wants to start a business (36%), travel to other countries (32%) or become financially independent from their parents (30%),” the Barna report noted.

New Barna Research: “Forty-seven percent of respondents with some connection to Christianity say they feel the Church ‘cannot answer their questions’ or spiritual doubts. According to the study, one in three young adults (32 percent) said ‘hypocrisy of religious people’ causes them to doubt things of a spiritual dimension.

“In his analysis of data from the General Social Survey of five-year windows in which individuals were born spanning from 1965 to 1984 and published by the Barna Group, Ryan Burge…shows that younger generations raised in the church aren’t typically returning to church when compared with members of the ‘Baby boomer’ generation.” - Christian Post
