Physical Death
Not only did God’s curse upon humanity entail a spiritual death; it also resulted in physical death or the dissolution of the body. You may recall God’s judicial pronouncement on Adam:
As iron sharpens iron,
one person sharpens another. (Proverbs 27:17)

“Darby, not nearly as sanguine about the prospects of the world or church, advanced a decidedly pessimistic eschatology, embracing what Hummel calls ‘new premillennialism,’ or what ended up being called ‘dispensationalism.’” - Acton
“Simply put, compulsion/determinism means our choices are controlled by external forces. Reformed teaching says our choices are indeed determined in that they have a cause, but Calvin maintained that the cause is the inclination of our will.” - C.Post
“Our biggest obstacle is failing to recognize that God is omnipresent, that he has made all things, and that it is by him that all things hold together (Col 1:15–17).” - Common Good

Tozer: “The low view of God entertained almost universally among Christians is the cause of a hundred lesser evils everywhere among us. A whole new philosophy of the Christian life has resulted from this one basic error in our religious thinking.” - Breakpoint
“Adam and Eve hear the sound of the Lord going to and fro in the garden ‘as the Spirit of the day.’ This rendering is not so opaque as it my seem on a first reading.” - Word by Word

“Jesus’s enemies mocked him, slandered him, insulted him, maligned him, reviled him — as verbal thrusts of contempt conspired with nails and spear. How Jesus handled it left an indelible stamp on Peter.” - Desiring God
This article proposes two principles that will help Christians better understand how to interact with the world as it is. The first teaches us the correct mindset, and the second shows us the correct tactic for engaging the battlespace that is 2023 America.

Fazio sees a cyclical aspect to this type of philosophical swing and believes that a commitment to literal interpretation might also move to another point on the globe, such as African nations or other developing countries.
“Hopefully,” he said, “we can really invest in developing and training pastors in such areas and shaping the minds of the next generation. But I don’t think those minds are going to be coming from North America.”
Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!
Know that the Lord, he is God!
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!
For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.

The Bible portrays death as the consequence of human sin. Death was the sanction that God tied to the Garden of Eden stipulation: “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die” (Gen. 2:16-17). And God’s expulsion of Adam and Eve from the Garden on account of their covenant breach and treason demonstrated that His threats were not empty. Death became the lot of Adam and his posterity. To borrow the apostle Paul’s language in Romans 6:23: “The wages of sin [became] death.” What did God have in view when He issued His death-threat to Adam? What is the meaning of “death”?
“the Christian study center movement, though inspired by Francis Schaeffer’s compelling blend of faith and scholarship, has forged a model for engagement at the very center of modern intellectual and cultural life—the public research university.” - WORLD
Last night, Pastor Minnick preached one of the most helpful and insightful messages that I have ever heard on the subject of the world and the believer's relationship to the world:
"Rescued and Transferred"
This message also profoundly sheds light on the role and the work of the devil in the world.
I heartily recommend carefully listening to this message!
