Franklin Graham Says He ‘Misspoke’ After Calling for Trump’s Reelection in CPAC Address
“Since retaking office, Trump has been coy about stepping down after his term, at times acknowledging that he cannot run again while at other times indicating that he would consider another campaign.” - C.Leaders
Another good example on why church ministers should stop speaking on politics and stop comparing elected officials with Biblical figures and instead focus on the church, the doctrinal maturity of the church and the Kingdom of God. The church doesn't need to be saved by Trump. Christians do not need to look at Trump as their friend. When we take something that belongs to Christ and ascribe it to someone else, that borders on idolatry. The head of the church is Christ, the world is not friendly to the church. Trump may pass policies that appear friendly to the church for his own political gain and power, but in the end, he is an enemy of Christ, who is in direct conflict to Christ. Yes we should participate in our role in this country, but our success is not based on our election capabilities with the politics of Trump, but instead our prayers our Father.
