I wonder if those same church-goers would be ok with their pastor missing services for the same reasons.

Some bad weather situations are understandable if you live in an area where severe weather is more of a factor. We've lived in areas that got 150-200 inches of snow a winter. On Sundays, we had fellowship meals and an afternoon service so people could get home while it was daylight.

On the other side, this is the time of year when people see lovely summer weather and skip church to go fishing, boating, camping, etc.
