We Must Choose Sides Between Chaos and Police
“What that says is there’s no longer any middle ground. The contrasts are too stark. We can side with a working mother, someone’s daughter and neighbor, who is willing to risk her life for her community and her partner. Or we can side with those who laugh at her being shot and choking on her own blood, her only sin being the badge she wears.” - TAC
It strikes me that I can say that those who would attack the police are wrong, and so are those who would excuse genuine wrongdoing by the police. Bad things happen, logically and practically, when we exclude the middle position.

One of my BCS grads, Mark Priebe, who is a police officer was intentionally run over by a peaceful protestor with his car. The protestor intentionally ran his SUV over Mark while he was simply standing by himself in front of his Police Precinct. Mark is a wonderful Christian man with a beautiful family. He is currently paralyzed and may never walk again. I stand with the police in this country with the caveat that all police misconduct should be investigated and prosecuted through our normal justice system. There is a War on Cops today like never before. Read Heather McDonald’s book on the subject. I back the blue. No police no peace, literally.

Mike, I just want to say that I am praying for your police officer friend and former student that he will be able to walk again and can still be a part of the police force in Springfield Missouri. Hopefully, the man that hit him will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. I spent some time researching the incident and the man who hit him doesn’t seem to be a protestor, but rather a mentally disturbed unemployed homeless man that had delusions that the police and FBI were after him. He had been living in his car and two days before hitting your friend Mark, he had defecated on a car of a black woman. Court documents also reveal that he sent a text two hours before hitting your friend that said, “Apparently I can’t get a job unless I lose Lilith. I’m going to run a cop over I think.”

According to progressives, Republicans and Trump are responsible for Trump hating anarchists attempting to kidnap the progressive governor of Michigan simply because they disagree with her policies. At the same time, anti-cop sentiment that calls for physical harm against cops is not responsible for pushing the deranged homeless man over the edge?
….but there are a number of police shootings that are attributable to some of the more radical rhetoric involved in BLM, starting with a couple in Compton and a couple in Louisville. Then you’ve also got a fair amount of attacks on property that have me scratching my head—OK, burning down Autozone or a used car lot helps blacks exactly how? If someone was trying to “help” me that way, I’d be pleading with them to stop and get off my side!
