Romans 13 and 1 Peter 2 are at least as clear as passages teaching that women should not be pastors, far more clear than passages against speaking in toungues, far more clear than pre-trib rapture, equally clear as baptism by immersion.

… these pastors are not heroes.

I really don’t understand why this is so hard to follow. It’s hot out, OK, but seriously. This isn’t even a 2 on a scale of 1-10 with ten being “only God can do this”.

During a conversation earlier this summer with a pastor here in Central Florida, I asked him why he didn’t meet outside. He said that most of his congregation thinks it’s too hot to meet outside. I responded, “What percentage of your congregation goes to the theme parks around here during the summer?”

It’s only too hot for the things we don’t really want to do.

It’s only too hot for the things we don’t really want to do.

People worshipped for generations before air conditioning became ubiquitous. Surely it’s possible to return if necessary. That said, i’m not sure what we would do here in WI during the winter if indoor meetings were banned. Heat’s not really a luxury when the temp is in the single digits and below.
