Poll finds 87% of millennials believe marijuana is safer than alcohol
[Joeb]Being that Boehner is involved with a Marijuana company now I am not surprised he is supporting legalization for recreational use. I only support medicinal use under strict control like Pennsylvania. I just asked my Dr about getting a card. My Dr said I’d have to go to a pain specialist and that Dr would approve me on a yearly basis. My Dr asked me if I had any experience treating pain with marijuana ie bought on street. I said no.
He is NOT supporting legalization for recreational use!
I’m all in support of medical marijuana, but one downside of it is that you might need to get new drug sniffing dogs for the police who won’t bark at dope. Not the biggest deal, but something to think about, a very real cost.
(on the light side, maybe Boehner wants to legally cope with the PTSD brought on by decades in DC?)
Regarding the haze of marijuana, I remember watching a YouTube video where researchers in Washington state had medical marijuana users smoke, drive, smoke some more, drive some more, and so on. Interestingly, it took a fair amount of THC in the blood before the police officer watching said “yeah, I might pull her over for driving like that.” I don’t know where that fits in with typical recreational doses—I’d assume they’re lower than the dose Maureen Dowd used that got her into a panic in Denver (about 16x recommended)—but it does suggest that there might be practical dosages that would not qualify as “stoned out of your mind” and violate Scripture.
Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.
The ATF has clearly spelled out that they are still considering the use of marijuana even in medicinal form to be a disqualifier for owning or purchasing firearms….something pretty serious to think about for those who own firearms and looking into medical marijuana use. I believe it is a felony should someone ever be prosecuted.
