Kentucky ark builder wants to take rainbow back

By Jim on Sat, 12/24/16
Fundamentalism & Evangelicalism
Ken Ham

The leader of a Christian ministry that built a life-sized Noah’s Ark replica in Kentucky bathed the structure in rainbow colors this holiday season and wants Christians to reclaim the symbol from the gay rights movement…. Ham said the rainbow should not symbolize “freedom, love, pride or the LGBTQ movement,” but rather God’s covenant with Noah.

NewBattles not worth fighting

Mon, 12/26/16

File this one under battles not worth fighting. It’s enough if believers see biblical meaning in the rainbow.

(…. and since light and water vapor probably didn’t behave differently before the flood, is it possible that the ‘bow’ reference in Genesis meant to assign covenant meaning to that particular rainbow, not all rainbows for all of time?)

Views expressed are always my own and not my employer's, my church's, my family's, my neighbors', or my pets'. The house plants have authorized me to speak for them, however, and they always agree with me.

I’ll have to separate from you now. You’re a neo-Convergent. I’m a classical Convergent. This cannot stand.
