Me thinks Putin is taking pot-shots at the EU and US because of all their involvement in the Ukrainian crisis/revolution. His empire has a big chunk being chipped away, and it might cause other fractures.
In a sense yes. But its actually closer to sacralism. When my wife and her family immigrated to San Francisco as religious refugees, they were sent to the Russian Orthodox welfare organization. The ROs said, “Baptists?? You can’t be Russian.”

Wouldn’t that amount to some sort of denominationalism, then? Baptists, Catholics and others have been holding to much the same thing in other countries for centuries, it seems. SNIP
