Glenn Beck: "A modern-day Jeremiah"
The right kind of friend for IsraelThe liberal-leftist media in Israel has stooped to a new low in demonizing Glenn Beck before his “Restoring Courage” rallies in Caesarea and Jerusalem.

Sorry my politically conservative brethren (and still I’m conservative). But I can’t stand Glenn Beck.
Neither can I. Or Sarah Palin.

and throw in Bachman as well.
as a modern day Jeremiah is crazy. Beck isn’t calling the United States to repentance and the worship of God. He’s a political talk show host, for crying out loud. I’m glad he supports Israel, but that doesn’t make him Jeremiah.
"Our task today is to tell people — who no longer know what sin is...no longer see themselves as sinners, and no longer have room for these categories — that Christ died for sins of which they do not think they’re guilty." - David Wells
And look who’s calling him a “a modern-day Jeremiah”
The author of the article is Mike Evans. You’ld think he would know better!

[Jay C.] Beck isn’t calling the United States to repentance and the worship of God.He sometimes couches his political message in these terms though. I once heard him expressly appropriate the “gates of Hell shall not prevail against it” promise to his political cause. Couldn’t believe it.
Someday Beck will have his own planet.

Well - politically I think Beck has brought more people to an understanding of the ways that liberal thinking has permeated our society. I know when I first heard him I found him to be arrogant .. I cannot STAND arrogance .. however I DO think he has made very valid points the past couple years. I do NOT like his forays into “preaching” .. but then it’s up to ME to sort out the wheat from the chaff when listening…
NOW - the one I cannot stand is Ron Paul .. he strikes me as VERY dangerous .. he makes no sense when I do listen to him .. though I can hardly stand to listen as his voice to me is like chalk on a chalkboard .. not to mention his libertarianism sticks out WAY too much for me .. He’s too MUCH of an isolationist IMHO ..
Beck isn’t a politician .. there doesn’t seem to be even HINTS he’s running for office .. Paul on the other hand is .. I wouldn’t want him running our county …
I LIKE Sarah Palin - she’s down to earth .. and I believe smart.. (though the media tries to portray her otherwise). I think she is what she says .. she KNOWS her values and would stick by them .. that goes a LONG way in my book. Don’t know if she could be elected though - has a lot of “spinning” to overcome..

Oh wait … she quit!
Sorry - I think she quit for a rather noble reason - rather than let Alaska keep having to defend her against ridiculous claims .. she opted to leave office so she could speak her mind freely .. I don’t think people realize how deep and nasty opposition can be .. that said - I’m not sure she could win a national election. I’d LOVE to see her in there .. I KNOW she could do it - and probably really go after those who would have our nation fail - but she’d be up against that powerful machine of the press and whoever is funding them.
All one has to do is look at some of the TRUE goofballs in our national government .. and see how they are NOT held to the same “standards” as conservatives… ( Maxine Waters comes to mind … or how about Joe Biden with his CONSTANT gafs?!)
That said - another I’d truly LOVE to see in there is Herman Cain … but again - I’m afraid he’d be “chewed up and spit out” .. and he can sing too .. ;)

That is the real news. Religious right politics is the #1 factor driving ecumenism today. Evangelicals, Catholics, Jews, Mormons … throw ‘em all in a melting pot, apply heat, stir it up, season heavily with justification by works (you know, the emphasis on “values” and “culture” and whatever) and you get a nice big steaming bowl of doctrinal confusion and compromised truth as a result.

From the Jerusalem Prayer Team facebook page, here’s what Mike Evans told someone who objected to him working with a Mormon.
In the Jerusalem Prayer Team, we work with and minister to many, whose views and beliefs do not align with our own. In those cases, we share The Word, pray for them, and believe the Holy Spirit will do His work, which is to convict of unrighteousness and sin and lead to Truth. In the case of Glenn Beck, I understand he came from Mormon background. In fact, I’m 100% opposed to it!
The only thing I know for sure is that Glenn Beck called me and told me personally that he has accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and that once he was lost, an alcoholic, and that now his life has been radically transformed by the Lord. In our conversations, he has talked to me about his devotion to The Lord. He told me that the Holy Spirit had directed him to move to Texas and join a church. The church he is joining is the same one that I attend — a spirit-filled, Bible-believing church.
We continue to pray for Glenn, that he, along with the rest of us, will continue in his devotion to the Lord and his journey to know Him better.

What is the name of the church family in Texas?
This is all news to me.
This is all news to me.
I don’t know what church he goes to. It was news to me as well. I’m also not vouching for the accuracy of the information, but I thought it was worth adding to the discussion.
[Ron Bean] Someday Beck will have his own planet.Ron, thanks for putting things in perspective. LOL
