Discussion

I was there (b 1949) so I can speak of it

It consisted of:
  • A booklet about how periods work … the sperm and the egg, etc
  • A film in health class about syphilis (black and white (thankfully!!) … I think from WW II))
  • A schoolmate had a http://goo.gl/LoOu] Visible Woman Kit (this was the 8th grade) and he tried splainin’ how the parts worked.
I wasn’t saved then and so I can speak candidly. We all knew about rubbers … but you couldn’t buy one.

Federal funding for all of this …. zero

Frankly I think we were all better off!
