I have just started reading a small book by C.H. Spurgeon called “The Soulwinner”

Was out evangelizing last night and spoke for a while with a man who went to a ultra dispensationalist church. I am a dispensationalist, but a classical one as I believe and in no way one like this man. He believed fully that Matt-Acts and the other non Pauline books are no to be held to the same weight as Paul books. When I quoted scripture, he would rat me when it came from a non Paul book. Although he denied it, it appeared he held that Paul and Christ are opposed to each other.

Anyone have a copy? I would like to buy one. Its a rare gem to get one taught from a Dispensaionalist perspective. The same goes fro systematic theology books.

I have some family that is very involved in an organization called IHOP (International House of Prayer) And they are always talking about how they believe in speaking in tongues and receiving visions from God etc. What are some biblical references to disprove that? They tell me that because I don’t believe in that I have a shallow faith. Need help!

I am looking for a concise (okay, stifle those giggles…it can happen, even at SI) definition of Keswickism. Something that a mom who’s been chasing three kids all day can understand without having to stand on her head (for too long). Can anybody oblige?

This is a purely informative post simply because I’ve seen people miss the distinction between Reformed Theology and Reformed Soteriology. For those who understand this better than I, I accept correction. I really don’t intend to post after this, but I would like to see what people write in response.

I come from a dispensational perspective but would like to challenge my thinking by reading about the covenant perspective. I was wondering if anyone has any books they would recommend on covenant theology.
