fault lines, by Voddie Baucham, Jr.

fault lines - The Social Justice Movement and Evangelicalism’s Looming Catastrophe

I’m halfway through this book. Has anyone read it? I’m interested in thoughts, for and against.

Also, I’m open to reading a book from an opposing point of view.

I have a lot of thoughts, but I’m more at the reading/listening stage now.

With the popularity of kindle becoming a major player over a dozen years ago (and e-books in general) and with the preponderance of programs and services like Logos and website commentaries, etc., have you book purchases been significantly altered?

The TGC 2016 Book Awards

Has anyone here read any of these books? I’m interested in a few and am curious to see what others are being read.

Here’s the list, with the covers attached as well.

Opinions on Systematic Theology book

Is anyone familiar with John Frame’s Systematic Theology, An Introduction to Christian Belief? It’s normally $44.99, being offered through Westminster Bookstore for $1.99. I’m not a 100% Calvinist, and I realize this is likely written through that lens, but is it otherwise a good volume to have in my library?

New Books Network

I found a website today that I can’t wait to immerse myself in. Maybe I am the only one who does a happy dance when I find a resource like this, but I’m ok with being a total book nerd.

If you love books and reading, you WILL check it out. http://newbooksnetwork.com/

Seeking A Biblical Theology of Music - Part II

Jesus does not have my heart if He does not have my music. Is the Spirit or flesh choosing your music? What does the Bible teach about music? What is “Christian” music?

All kinds of music are on the scene today. Before deciding what I should listen to, do I first need to understand what God’s Word teaches about godly music?

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Cor. 5.17.
