Fundamentalism, Modernism, and the Dangerous Middle (Part 3)

In my last two posts (read them here and here), I laid out the danger of those that seek a middle ground between biblical fidelity (biblical fundamentalism) while also chasing acceptance by the liberal/modernist/progressive church and academy.

Fundamentalism, Modernism, and the Dangerous Middle (Part 2)

How do you most often specify the type of Christian you are?

Many of us self-identify differently in differing contexts. For example, if I were among international people of non-Christian religions, I would identify myself at a Christian. If I were among left-leaning evangelicals, I might say I leaned more fundamental. If I were among fundamentalists, I would say I lean more conservative evangelical. But I USUALLY describe myself as Conservative Evangelical, so that would be my answer.

But what about your answer. How do you MOST TYPICALLY identify yourself?

American Council of Christian Churches: Resolution on Eastern Orthodoxy

“God calls biblical churches to have no concord with a false religious system, which actively promotes belief in a continuing oral tradition equal to Scripture… a defective view of Christ’s atonement, which diminishes the sufficiency of His once-for-all sacrifice at Calvary… the veneration of icons…” - ACCC
