The scale of this thing blows my mind. “Church founder” and “5.5 billion” just don’t go in the same sentence.

Apparently, that’s 5.5 billion won, not dollars (according to an articled linked to by CT). That’s still a lot of money. Shoddy work in the CT piece, though.

Yeah, that makes a huge difference. Apparently, 5,500,000,000 won = something like 5,067,259.87 dollars.

Not quite so mind-melting, though it’s a bit hard to put “church founder” and “$5 million” in the same sentence, too.
