Half of Pastors Report Negative Economic Impact for Church

By God’s grace, I can report that our church is doing very well financially during COVID. Without going into details, I can simply say that we have been running a nice surplus, which we are putting to good use. The reduced activity of COVID produces lowered spending, while offerings remain steady. Who knows, at this rate we may decide to build a new auditorium or something. However, it’s hard to generate enthusiasm for a building project when the buildings we now own remain nearly empty because of COVID restrictions. We are doing some needed maintenance projects with the surplus, and we have sent several thousand extra dollars to various missionaries.
