Liberty University students protest association with Trump

Yes, the GOP “insiders” did tend to back Bush and only got off his bandwagon when it was clear it was stuck axle deep, but per Darrell’s comments, it’s worth noting that Jerry Falwell first endorsed Drumpf in January, before the primary season got started, and in February made what can only be charitably described as an asinine series of comments praising Drumpf’s character. And per the link Wayne provides, “stay with an apology” (Liberty’s version of events) really means “stay as long as you’re on board with Trump.”

Really, Falwell’s excuse that “he wasn’t speaking for Liberty” is falling apart, IMO, and if LIberty wants to maintain credibility, Falwell needs to at least admit that his statements on Trump were foolish at best, or outright resign at worst.
