DeSantis applies armor of God Scripture to battle with the left: Feucht applauds, God TV calls it 'blasphemous'
“GOD TV expressed that DeSantis’ quote is ‘exactly the opposite of what Paul is communicating in Ephesians 6.’” - C.Leaders

Never heard of God TV but they are right in this instance. Keep that out of politics.
Most modern worship leaders are first and foremost musicians with little to no theological training or foundational grasp. Sadly, many aren’t even Christian.
More or less he’s arguing that the left is of the kingdom of the devil. While there are portions of the liberal platforms where that fits—support of abortion and transition procedures for minors, etc..—let’s just say he overstates his case by a wide margin. Disappointing.
Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.
I like much of what DeSantis says/does, but I don’t have any illusions about his knowing Christ. His wife overcame breast cancer, and one of her first statements after successful treatments was the use of foul language to celebrate.

I don’t think DeSantis is alone. I haven’t seen enough of his conduct to get a feel for his sincerity when he quotes Scripture. But in lots of subtle ways I do see many Christians equate the New Testament’s “the world” with today’s “the left.” I believe this confusion about what ‘the world’ is, explains much of the willingness of so many evangelicals to go all in with the politics. They’ve lost sight of the distinction between “spiritual warfare” and political battle.
Views expressed are always my own and not my employer's, my church's, my family's, my neighbors', or my pets'. The house plants have authorized me to speak for them, however, and they always agree with me.

I agree. I think it starts with the lack of theology or the wrong theology being taught in church. I feel that we are almost back at the Sermon on the Mount. Christ having to re-explain to his “so-called” followers what the Kingdom of Heaven really is. The right is just as sinful as the left is and needs God just as much. I used to sit in school as a young elementary school kid back in the ‘70’s wondering how on earth the world could fall for the AntiChrist. The older I get the more I see that most in the church are just as quick to follow a false Savior as the rest of the world.
What if the Antichrist turned out to be a populist, anti-Left, tyrant, who speaks evangelicalese frequently and fluently?
Right now the GOP would be lining up to take his mark.

All of the major world leaders throughout history have been trial-runs for the antichrist, Satan using them to learn what works, what doesn’t, watching people and their responses. The antichrist will be the result.
