Evangelical Christian-Baptist pastors I’ve know over the last 25 years are bi-vocational. It goes back to the labor laws of the former Soviet Union. If a person didn’t have a state recognized job, they could and would be arrested and jailed as a “parasite.” The pastor of a EC-B church in Metro-Sacramento which runs 500+ in their services works as a truck mechanic.
