What most Westerners admire about Buddhism is a Buddhism that exists only in their own minds.
“Aren’t Buddhists, like, really non-violent, tolerant, and accepting of people using drugs and stuff?”
^Actual question asked my by an American student once. One who, I found out later, was on drugs.
