Facebook Cannot Replace Your Church

At a recent Facebook rally in Chicago, Mark Zuckerberg suggested that the social network behemoth can effectively replace institutions like “churches and Little Leagues.” Through new breakthroughs in artificial intelligence, he aims to draw people together into Facebook Groups to serve similar functions, but in a more meaningful way. In this way, he envisions moving people away from actual gatherings of people, towards online groups governed by computers.

Zuckerburg didn’t say FB could replace the church!

as an aside, our church must have half a dozen FB groups: for youth group, various ABFs, etc cetera

Yes, there was a very good reason that I went to cross country, track, and swimming…..but seriously, this seems like Zuckerberg trying to channel the Beatles saying they were a bigger deal than Jesus. Nice try, Mark, love your product, but let’s keep it in perspective.
