28 states where COVID-19 is spreading fastest, slowest: July 9
“Montana has the highest COVID-19 reproduction rate, while Connecticut has the lowest, according to rt.live. … Measured by the average number of people who become sick from an infectious person, the site tracks the effective reproduction rate (Rt) of COVID-19 infections.” - Becker

The R values are 0.9-1.3, more or less, which suggests that if we reduce our likelihood of transmission by a mere 30% or so, we get to the “golden” value of 1 and we strangle this thing.
The trouble with this is that there seem to be a number of places—public transit, demonstrations/protests/riots, etc..—where the virus is spread in a hurry, so I’m not quite sure how much “most of us” who are not in those problematic areas can do to reduce the spread. Noteworthy is that most of the super-spreader places are really those politically favored by the left.
Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.
