Pew: Evangelicals Stay Strong as Christianity Crumbles in America
“Evangelicals have remained remarkably stable… Over the past seven years, evangelicals have lost less than 1 percent of their share of the population, holding steady at about 1 in 4 American adults (25.4% in 2014, vs. 26.3% in 2007) and preserving their status as the nation’s largest religious group.”

…..it strikes me that the definition of “evangelical” is self-assigned in this poll. There are some encouraging things here, but exactly what it means…..might as well be nailing Jell-o to the wall. I’m guessing we’re watching the collapse of theological liberalism more than we are the ascendancy of true evangelicalism that would affirm the Solas and the Fundamentals.
I’ll do some dancin’ if someone proves me wrong here, though. That would be great.
Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.
