Discussion

The logic of Roe v. Wade makes clear distinctions between viable and unviable babies. The Kentucky law would be a great idea if it could pass the courts, but 11 weeks is about when a lot of women figure out they’re pregnant, and is a full 9 weeks prior to the earliest actual survival of a baby that I can remember. Until Roe is overturned by the Supreme Court, I simply do not get why legislatures try this kind of thing. It is an exercise in political self-pleasuring, really.
