Ukraine’s Evangelical Seminaries Plead for Help
“ ‘How much longer, Lord?’ and ‘God, break the bones of my enemy’ now equal hallelujahs as leaders ask for advocacy and assistance, lamenting the silence by Russian Christians.” - C.Today

baptistinternational.org has regular posts and videos from independent Baptist ministries in Ukraine. Our church gave a substantial financial donation.

With six kids, I was wondering if anyone is in need of clothing and the like, and when I looked things up, it appears that there is currently more supply than demand in refugee centers in Poland. So I’m holding off on that so far. Definitely a lot of opportunities to help with cash, though.
Side note; international surface shipping is probably around a dollar a pound these days, with probably another dollar for the handling and such to get it there and the like. So when you donate things for relief, or even to a degree at Goodwill or Saver’s, take a quick look and ask yourself “Is this item even worth the money it would cost to ship it?” Use that kitchen scale and your hopefully trained eye. I’m told that a tremendous amount of U.S. clothing and blankets that gets sent to Africa actually gets sent to a landfill because it’s so bad, not even poor Africans want it.
It would do my heart good to see some of the treasured garments from my kids’ childhood giving comfort to Ukrainian refugees or others, but not at the cost of actually harming them and their families.
Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.
We gave an amount to a missionary in Poland who’s church is helping refugees.
Hopefully it will be used wisely
