I suspect what she means by “God” and the Bible teaches about God are very different.

NewThat may be the case.  I do

That may be the case. I do appreciate that she 1) Recognizes that there is a God, 2) That this God is who actually controls her life and 3) that this God is the primary influence in her life. Is her theology fully accurate? Who knows. But I have more faith that she probably has a better grasp of this theology than Trump ever did, yet he was praised as a Christian. In the end, she will still be liberal and that may come in conflict with the actual theology of the Bible. But even the Puritans believed that abortion in early stages of pregnancy was not in conflict with Scripture. So not everyone is perfect. All we can do is to pray for our various leaders.
