Why President Trump Would Be A Bigger Disaster Than Hillary
Trump is Hilliary in a better suit with a worse haircut, and in the Oval Office, he’d tar an entire movement with his….polite words fail me here. Idiocy, there we go.

Not to worry, Trump will get nowhere near the Oval Office, unless he is a guest to his long-time friend, President Hillary Clinton. He has absolutely no shot at winning a general election. He already is fully known, and his favorability/unfavorability is pretty well locked in. In fact one could argue that the only direction possible at this point is toward more unfavorability. In the state of Virginia in a recent poll, Trump had 64% unfavorability among likely voters in November. Virginia is a state the Republican candidate almost must win to have any shot at getting to 270 Electoral votes. But it gets worse. Here is a list I found of key battleground state polling. It reflects actual polling data in the last month or so and is shows a comparison how Trump vs. Hillary and Rubio vs. Hillary looks. Read these carefully:
AK: Trump 49 / Hillary 44 – R+5

The message of these polls is loud and clear. Look even at New York state. Some Trump supporters have suggested he will win New York, but actual polls show he would lose it worse than Rubio would.
Furthermore, Trump has a huge gender gap—and its even showing up in the GOP primary results. Imagine how large that gap will be in the general election when the media suddenly goes hostile on him and he has to run against a woman.
So if Trump is the nominee, he will drag down the entire party, the Republicans would lose the senate majority, and Hillary Clinton would make then next three or four Supreme Court appointments, leaving a 7-2 liberal majority in place for the next 25 years.
In other words, nominate Trump, and the Republicans will have thrown away, with both hands, one of the easiest chances to win the presidency in a couple of generations. They will have thrown away the Supreme Court, and will have established one-party rule by the Democrats for years to come.
It is not too late, but the party would have to quickly unite around one of the non-Trumps and see that candidate win several states on March 1.
….if our country is getting to the end of its rope with God. We tolerate abortion, tolerate lawless politicians, encourage out of wedlock childbearing through taxes, regulation, and government programs…..He’s waiting, but there will be a reckoning. Maybe we’re already seeing it because a huge portion of Americans can’t see that Hilliary belongs in jail, and Trump is simply a tool for the Clintons. Our nation used to be able to see through that kind of thing.

Theoretically possible for President Obama to pardon Hillary Clinton if she seems subject to criminal prosecution. Although the political consequences would be enormous, he would wait until after the election if Trump or another Republican becomes President. The Democrats would ride out any political fallout. A pardon would also prevent any sensitive information becoming public during the discovery process and trial. Remember that President Ford pardoned President Nixon. The Democrats face a potential disaster if Clinton is the nominee and FBI lawyers recommend legal action against her. If Trump, Clinton, & Sanders are the popular choices for most Americans, that reveals much about the moral condition of our country today. Sanders is popular because more people today have socialist leanings. Clinton is popular because of her gender and last name. Trump is popular because he verbalizes the frustration many have about the country. Very interesting times we live in!

BJU has at some influence in the Greenville area and less so across the state. Even though I have serious reservations (to put it mildly) about where the current BJU leadership is taking the school, the “Bob Jones land” comment was unfair. Individual believers will make their own decisions about political issues and eventually be responsible for those decisions.

Joe’s comment about evangelicals (which in SC would include Southern Baptists, etc..) supporting Trump is what I’m getting at with asking “is God done with us as a nation?” I would reckon that you would have found a number of people in ancient Israel in 587BC that would have been regulars at the Feasts who didn’t clue in that their kings were louts, too. We are losing our discernment.
