Future of homeschooling: Less religious, more regulated?
“[I]n recent years, the biggest change in state-sponsored resistance to homeschooling has been a “shift” from attempts to ban homeschooling to ‘extremely oppressive’ regulations.” - Christian Post
It’s worth noting that from about 1990 to about ten years back, there was a huge push to relieve homeschoolers from fairly oppressive regulations, but those who were not fond of homeschooling would always be submitting new regulations to turn back that tide. It may be more obvious now, but there really isn’t much new here, IMO.
(you can prove this for yourself by reading back issues of the HSLDA magazines….they always were listing new initiatives by state and even county/city to roll back homeschooling freedom)
Aspiring to be a stick in the mud.
